Alberta Export Expansion Program (AEEP) open

The AEEP provides grants to export-ready small and medium-sized businesses to attend international trade events. Eligible companies can receive up to $15,000 per fiscal year to cover event registration and per diems for up to two travelers. The program is first-come, first-served, with a $2 million budget for 2025–26. Funding to help export-ready companies and non-profit organizations enhance access to international markets and attract global buyers.

Indigenous Employment Training Partnerships provides grant funding to Indigenous communities and organizations to deliver group-training projects designed in partnership with employers and other partners.

Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage Program – Legacy Fund Stream open

Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage Program – Local Festivals open

This funding stream provides funding to local groups for recurring festivals that present the work of local artists, artisans, or heritage performers. This includes the celebration of LGBTQ2+  communities and Indigenous cultural celebrations.

  • Application Deadline: January 31 – for festivals starting between September 1 and December 31 of the same calendar year; April 30 – for festivals starting between January 1 and June 30 of the next calendar year; and October 15 – for festivals starting between July 1 and August 31 of the next calendar year.

Canada Arts Presentation Fund – Professional Arts Festivals and Performing Arts Series Presenters open

This program addresses the financial needs of Indigenous communities when they are in pursuit of, and wish to participate in, an economic opportunity. The program is a consolidation of the former community economic opportunities program, the major projects investment fund, and the community-based components of the Indigenous business development program.

Creating, Knowing, and Sharing: The Arts and Cultures of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples – Short Term Projects: closes April 8th, 2026 This program supports First Nations, Inuit, and Métis professional and emerging artists, cultural carriers, arts, and cultural professionals, groups, collectives, and organizations working in all disciplines. This  program supports activities in 3 broad areas: creating provides support for research and the production and creation of new works of art; knowing provides support for the retention, maintenance, innovation and transmittal of cultural knowledge and creative practice. This includes contemporary and historical critical discourse, arts/cultural training and initiatives that seek to pass cultural knowledge to younger generations through artistic practice, and the renewal and maintenance of customary art practices; and sharing provides support for the dissemination, exhibition, presentation and distribution of works of art by First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples, which enrich and engage communities in Canada and abroad.

First Nations Development Fund Grant Program  open

Projects that receive FNDF grants are determined by community priorities set by each First Nation’s Chief and Council. Since 2006, the FNDF has provided more than $2 billion to First Nations in support of over 5,000 economic, social and community development projects including:housing projects, children, youth and Elders’ programs, cultural programs, business start-up and expansion, employment and training programs.

Museum Assistance Program – Exhibition Circulation Fund:
