Indigenous Tourism Alberta Gathering 2022
The conference theme is Kindness
Indigenous Tourism Alberta is proud to be hosting the fourth annual conference on Indigenous tourism to bring together all of the people, stories and ideas that are building Indigenous tourism into a key component of the visitor economy, the reconciliation journey of all Canadians and an inspiring part of Indigenous lives. This year’s Indigenous Tourism Alberta Gathering will be held on Treaty 6 Territory and Métis Region 4 hosted on Enoch Cree Nation at the River Cree Resort and Casino December 5-7, 2022. This provincial event has been successfully hosted by ITA and delivered through the partnership of the various regional Indigenous tourism organizations for the past four years.
The Indigenous Tourism Summit 2021 was held in Mohkinstsis, Calgary. The Summit exceeded expectations with sold-out success and brought together Indigenous tourism operators from across Canada for three days of sharing best practices and networking. Over 300 delegates participated in panel discussions, breakout sessions, keynote presentations, artisan market, and local cultural experiences.
